Fiji reaffirms commitment to youth development in Pacific

SUVA, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) — The Fijian government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to youth development in the Pacific region at the South Pacific Senior Youth Officials Meeting held in Nadi, Fiji’s third-largest city.
Delivering a keynote speech, Fiji’s Ministry of Youth and Sports Director Phillip Hereniko said the future of the region lies in the hands of the young generation.
He emphasized the importance of inclusivity in youth development and ensuring that no young person is left behind, regardless of background, gender, or location.
Hereniko urged Pacific island countries to work together, share resources, and leverage their unique strengths to create a Pacific region where every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential. ■
